The PG Department of Chemistry hosted a seminar on Research and Career Opportunities in Chemistry, inaugurated by Dr. Basheer M C from PSMO College. Prof. Sasidharan T A and Prof. Mohammed Koya M N also addressed the attendees, with a total of 71 participants from UG and PG classes.
On December 05, 2023, the PG Department of Chemistry organized a Lab Skill Development Program, featuring 10 experiments conducted by M.Sc. and B.Sc. Chemistry students. GHSS Kokkur students actively participated, with a total of 50 students and 3 teaching staff attending. The engaging session aimed to inspire scientific thinking and practical skills among participants.
In honor of International Mole Day, a seminar for degree and PG Chemistry students was conducted in the College Conference Hall on October 26, 2023, from 10:00 AM to 12:30 PM. Coordinated by Nazreen P V, Assistant Professor, Dept. of Chemistry, the event featured 4 participants from both UG and PG classes, providing an opportunity for students to showcase their oratory skills and deepen their subject knowledge.
The Seminar on Research Methodology at the PG Department of Chemistry, held on November 13, 2023, was inaugurated by Shri. P P M Ashraf, President of Assabah Trust. Dr. Binitha N N, a Professor from the University of Calicut, conducted sessions for 60 participants, fostering an interactive learning environment, and the event concluded with a felicitation speech by Dr. M K Baiju and a vote of thanks by Nazreen P V.
World Space Week was celebrated with a painting competition at the college auditorium on October 16, 2023, at 11:30 am. Eight participants from both undergraduate and postgraduate classes showcased their talent, coordinated by Nazreen P V, emphasizing the importance of space awareness and entrepreneurship among students. The event successfully blended creativity with educational objectives.
Assabah Arts and Science College celebrated National Science Day on February 28, 2023, with a Science Expo inaugurated by Muhammed Unni Haji. The Chemistry department showcased stunning stalls featuring still and working models, along with physics knowledge on chart papers, contributing to a vibrant and informative event. The expo aimed to inspire scientific curiosity among students and the community.
