+On the occasion of World Food Safety Day, the PG Department of Food Science and Technology, Assabah Arts and Science College,Valayamkulam , organized an awareness programme to promote food safety and hygiene among students and the local community. As part of the programme, students distributed informative pamphlets to various departments within the college and conducted awareness campaigns in nearby homes and shops. They educated people about the importance of personal hygiene, safe food handling, proper storage practices, and the prevention of foodborne diseases. Through direct interaction and distribution of educational materials, the programme successfully enhanced public awareness about food safety and encouraged the adoption of healthy and hygienic food practices in everyday life.
