Seminar on “Travel and Mind: Psychological Benefits of Tourism”
The Tourism Club of Assabah Arts and Science College, in association with Unarvu Counselling Centre, organized a seminar on the topic “Travel and Mind: Psychological Benefits of Tourism” on 17 June 2026 at 11:30 AM in the College Conference Hall.
The programme was inaugurated by Capt. Prof. Mohammed Koya M.N, Principal of the college. The session was presided over by Babitha V.P, Assistant Professor, Department of Commerce.
The welcome address was delivered by Fathimath Sana, a third semester B.Com Travel and Tourism student. She highlighted the importance of tourism in enhancing mental well-being and personal growth.
The resource person, Afeefa M.K, Psychologist from Unarvu Counselling Centre, delivered an insightful talk on how travel positively influences mental health by reducing stress and improving emotional balance.
The programme concluded with a vote of thanks by Ziya Sherin, Tourism Club member. The event was successfully conducted under the supervision of IQAC.
