The Film Club of Assabah Arts and Science College, Valayamkulum, organised a memorial programme titled Remembering Salim Kumar on 12 June 2026 at 2:30 PM in the College Conference Hall. The programme commenced with a Welcome Address by Nafeesa Selgha KK.
The session included a Presidential Address by Capt. Prof. Mohamed Koya M.N., Principal of the College, a Memorial Address by Praveen KU, and a Special Address by Fahad. Film Club members presented a collective tribute by enacting select roles portrayed by Salim Kumar across his films, showcasing the range and depth of his performances. A Condolence Message was delivered by Dr. Baiju MK. The programme observed a two-minute silence in memory of Salim Kumar (1969–2026). The programme concluded with a Vote of Thanks proposed by Fida. The event provided students an opportunity to engage with the cultural and artistic contributions of a celebrated figure in Indian regional cinema.
