CODING FOR A COOLER PLANET

Assabah Arts and Science College Hosts"Green Bytes"Programme on Environmental Day.

Malappuram:Assabah Arts and Science College,Valayamkulam,observed World Environment Day on June 5 with anawareness session titled "Green Bytes:Coding for acooler Planet",organized by the Department of Computer Applications.

The programme explored the intersection of technology and environmental sustainability,emphasizing how efficient coding practices can contribute to reducing carbon footprints.The event carried the tagline "better code,Better planet"and"Small Bytes,Big Change",highlighting the impact of small digital habits on climate outcomes.

The session was held at 10:30 AM in the Conference Hall and was monitored by the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of the college.It aimed to encourage students to integrate environmental consciousness into their technical skillsets,reinforcing the idea that coding can be a tool for climate action.

The program concluded with active student participation and discussions on applying green computing principles in academic and real-world projects.
